Joseph Wan, CEO, Harvey Nichols

Joseph Wan has been Chief Executive of Harvey Nichols since 1992 and currently he also serves as the non-executive Chairman of S.T Dupont SA which is listed on the Paris Bourse. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1978 and stayed in the profession with KPMG until 1987 when he took up the position of Group Finance Director of Dickson Concepts International Limited which was and still remains listed on the Hong Kong Stock exchange. In 2002, Joseph also qualified as a Chartered Arbitrator.
 
 
Roy Palmer – Chairman of Pragma Consulting Ltd

Roy has an honours degree in Applied Sciences, and an MBA in Marketing and Finance from London Business School.

Following four years at Procter and Gamble, Roy joined the strategy directorate at The Wellcome Foundation, and then moved to become Commercial Director of Airfix Toys. This was followed by 3 years as European Development Director of the specialist Canadian publishing house, Harlequin Enterprises. Following 3 years as managing director of a retail consulting firm Management Horizons, Roy co-founded Pragma Consulting in 1988. Over the last 22 years Pragma has grown to become the leading international retail and brand consultancy based in the UK. Its areas of specialisation include retail and brand strategy, commercial due diligence for investors, retail operational reviews, and travel retailing including airports. Today the firm employs 18 senior consultants, and has conducted some 850 projects for around 300 blue chip clients in over 30 countries. Outside of work, Roy interests include the restoration of 1930’s aircraft and vintage sports cars.
